Music Coach - Drum Specialist

Who is KMC? 
We are no ordinary music school. We seek to inspire and nurture people of all ages and abilities to maximise their full potential through innovative music learning programmes infused with the latest technologies. We help learners develop character, courage, confidence, creativity, and enhanced cognition skills through the process of learning music.    

Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate is a lifelong learner who is committed to their personal development as a musician, while also giving back to the next generation of musicians. They are mature, cool-headed, articulate, organised, well-spoken, hard-working and committed, with values and purpose that resonate with ours.    

Ideal Skills 

1.  Must be able to comfortably sight read sheet music to intermediate or advanced levels  - or be willing to learn

2.  Must be IT literate and willing and able to learn to use new technologies.  

In addition to the above, applicants must:  

-  Be flexible and willing to “go with the flow” where necessary.

-  Be willing and able to work a full day on Saturdays (9am - 6pm), with one day off in lieu during the week.  

-  Be willing to work a late shift (7pm or 8pm finish) at least once a week to accommodate our students in other time zones.

-  Must be proficient at the piano as well as the drum set, ideally to grade 5 standard.

- Must be willing to go through our internal coaching programme, regardless of prior background and experience.

-  Must be available to start immediately  

Salary Range
Competitive depending on background and experience

Selection Process

Step 2: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a skills assessment day, where they will undergo both online and practical assessments of teaching and performance skills.  

Step 3:  Candidates who demonstrate the requisite skills and / or a willingness to upskill will be invited to a panel interview.  

Step 4: Offers will be made to candidates who are found to be a good fit following the panel interview.
