Early Years Music Educator

We are no ordinary music school. We are passionate educators, coaches and mentors, seeking to enrich lives through innovative music learning programmes.

 Our Early Years division is the bedrock of our work.

It is where the magic happens, where young children first learn to fall in love with making music. Where they learn to distinguish between pitch, learn to express rhythm through their body movements, and gain social skills.  

Our Early Years music coaches are a special breed of warm, energetic, inspirational, musical, fun-loving and patient individuals who genuinely love young children and music and are passionate about starting young children off on a lifelong love and appreciation of music.  

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, honest, enthusiastic with excellent oral and written communication skills. Flexible, resilient and willing to “go with the flow.” Energetic, creative, good natured and with a great sense of humour. Someone who is fun-loving and knows how to engage with children.  

A big part of this role involves singing and dancing to nursery rhymes and children's songs and generally being a big, happy kid. Is this true to your nature? Are you naturally playful and friendly with a winning smile? Then this job is perfect for you!  

Applicants must:  

Love being with, and have patience for young children, is not afraid to connect with their inner child, is naturally warm, playful and friendly with a winning smile!

Have a good singing voice  

Be able to play the piano to elementary standard or is willing to learn to do so

Be able to play the guitar or ukulele or is willing to learn to do so

Be able to sit on the floor for long periods of time  

Be energetic and physically agile

Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent organisation and time management skills

IT literate and able to use software such as word processors

Be a quick learner

Be able to work five days a week - including EVERY Saturday from 9am - 6pm (our busiest day).  

Be able to start immediately  

Previous experience of working with young children would be ideal.

Obalende, Ikoyi. However, please note that classes can be held anywhere in Lagos.

Successful candidates will be supported  to gain the Montessori Music Educator certificate from the International School of Musicians, UK.
