Children who are able to sing in tune and who have a good sense of pitch are likely to be better musicians.
Taking part in performances also enhances their self confidence and their ability to read, own and address a room.
The Singing Squad is an introductory singing class for children aged 4 - 7 years, where they learn foundational vocal and expressive skills, using fun and age appropriate repertoire.
In addition to learning good singing techniques, the children are also taught theoretical concepts such as solfege, notation for singers, pitch discrimination and stage presence.
Members take part in at least two performances per year.
This year, members will also have an opportunity to perform at the inaugural National Baby Convention taking place in November 2024.
On completion of the curricululm, the children can be entered for Montessori Music Level 2 exams if desired, or progress on to the next level of instrumental and / or vocal coaching.
