Music AI for Good

Thank you for stopping by!

Kunbi's Music Company is a mission-driven, tech-enabled, hybrid music school, serving clients in Lagos and across the globe.  We inspire and nurture people of all ages and abilities to maximise their full potential through music learning programmes that build character, inspire creativity, grow courage, enhance cognition and boost confidence.

We provide music lessons in our centres in Ikoyi, Lekki and Ojodu as well as online.

Below are some AI powered solutions for musicians, some of which we use as part of our lesson delivery.

Piano Marvel

Piano Marvel helps music lovers of all levels master the art of playing the piano by using AI technology to provide real-time feedback on practice and performance.  There thousands of songs across genres, and standardised sight reading tests designed to boost note reading skills.  Students who regularly use the Piano Marvel practice tool make four times faster progress than students who don't.

KMC is proud to be a Piano Marvel studio and will be launching the tool in our piano summer camps.  Piano Marvel will also be an integral part of our piano teaching curriculum from September 2025 onwards.

Google Creativity Experiments

Google Creativity Experiments are a collection of projects and tools that explore how artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies can be used to foster human creativity in areas like art, music, and design. They aim to make creative expression more accessible and offer new ways for people to interact with technology using the computer keyboard, mouse and camera.

Below are some of these projects specifically for music.

The Clarion-Lite

The Clarion-Lite is an AI-driven music instrument, and is a collaboration between Google and Open Up Music. It brings some of the features of the Clarion, an accessible musical instrument, into the web browser for anyone to try.

The Clarion allow you to make music in different ways, using simple shapes on your screen. You can play using your mouse and keyboard,  or turn on your webcam and track a point on your body, like your nose, making it possible for people with disabilities to make meaningful music.

The full version of the Clarion is now recognised as an instrument for Open Music Assessments by one of the world's most established music exam boards, ABRSM.  The Clarion also features as an instrument it in it's own right in the National Open Youth Orchestra (NOYO) of the United Kingdom.

AI Keyboard

A simple musical keyboard you can play with your face, body, mouse, or keys.

Body Synth

This AI experiment turns your body movements into sound. Just turn on your webcam and move your body. Each part of your body plays a different note or sound.

The Visualiser

This is a tool for visualizing music using a variety of modes such as waveforms, spectographs and hilbert scope.

Suno.ai

Suno.ai is an artificial intelligence model that allows anyone to create original music simply by providing text prompts. You can describe the style, instruments, and mood you're looking for, and Suno will generate a song, including vocals and lyrics, often in a matter of seconds. It's designed to make music creation accessible to everyone, regardless of musical background.

We asked Suno.ai to write a song about Kunbi's Music Company exhibiting at the Stem Africa Fest in Afrobeat style, and it came up with the song "Kunbi's Groove".  Click on the link below to listen to the song.  Why not have a go at creating your own song with suno?

Musicca

Musicca provides interactive exercises and tools that help musicians and students improve musical skills that are essential for reading, writing and playing music.  Best of all, Musicca is free to use!
